  • I was prompted to upgrade my Xerox software, which I did, installing Xerox Printer Experience and whatever else was in the update. From that point on, I have not been able to scan. This is the error I get. I am highly skeptical that it is a hardware issue, given that the problem started immediately after I did the software install. The printer has barely been used, and the scanner even less.

I did try the cleaning procedure but that didn’t help.

My guess is that this is analogous to the engine light on a car – sometimes there truly is a problem with the engine, and sometimes the problem is with the light itself – usually needs to be reset. So, I have tried resetting the printer to factory settings, but that did not change anything.

I am trying to scan to USB to eliminate any issues with the software on my PC, but same error.

Is there anything else I can try?

  • You may need to check the service manual for dell H625CDW. This procedure is used for Xerox C7000, C7020, C7025, C7030 printer only.

  • the fix for 062-380 scanner error will it work for a dell H625CDW? It seems to apply to a Xerox VersaLink printer.
